Accessories
Every American Rider rental includes a CE approved (SPAIN) or DOT approved (USA) 3/4 helmets or full helmets are available on a request basis subject to availability. Each bike also comes with one lock. Additional helmets, jackets, chaps, gloves and other accessories are also available for rental or purchase, but not included in the Bike rental rate quote.
Yes, rain suits or jackets can be rent or purchased.
YES! Upon request, we provide GPS systems with the rental of your bike.
Yes, helmet communication devices are available for purchase and rental. Subject to availability.
YES! We have a variety of accessories that can be requested as part of your rental or purchased. Please call for availability.
We can offer you saddlebags and backrest in some models of motorcycles (ask before make the reservation).
Rent Motorcycle
You must have a valid motorcycle license to rent a motorcycle from American Rider.
In our Spain locations: European Union countries “A” driving license or “A1” until 125 cc bikes. Drivers from other countries needs an international drivers license.
In our USA locations: You must have a valid motorcycle license to rent a motorcycle from American Rider. International customers: If your license allows you to legally ride the same type of bike in your home country, you can rent from us. The license from your country is sufficient, – you don’t have to get an international drivers license.
We will NOT allow for the transaction to be completed in the event the license shown is not valid and any payments made to the rental of the vehicle will be forfeited.
The minimum age to rent a motorcycle is 25 years, There is no age limit for passengers; however, the passenger must be able to reach the passenger foot pegs or floorboards of the bike.
American Rider rents motorcycles with a full gas tank. The vehicle needs to be returned full of gasoline upon return. Vehicles returned with a less than full gas tank or subject to a refueling charge will have an extra charge of 30 €. Renters may also pre-pay for gasoline, allowing them to return the gas tank empty.
Certain vehicles provide for lockable storage, the Harley Davidson Electra Glide, Harley Davison Road king Standard, Harley Davidson Street Glide, vehicles include lockable.
It is strongly suggested that rider and passenger (when applicable) purchase adequate insurance coverage provided by American Rider* . If coverage in declined, renter agrees to assume all responsibility to any and all damages that arise from any situation.
We offer different rentals options but our more popular period is in 24 hr slots. Example: If you pick up your motorcycle at 9 a.m., it is due back at 9 a.m. at the end of your rental period.
We allow a maximum rental period of 15 days. If a longer rental period is desired, one must contact the offices of American Rider* and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
With your rental, a 24 hr emergency contact is supplied. We will do our best to ensure your safety and comfort should anything happen.
Before making the reservation you should consult the availability in the place that you wish to leave the motorcycle in Málaga area, but not included in the Bike rental rate quote. One-way fees will apply to any one-way rental.
Yes, we offer the following discounts:
1 – 3 days rentals = standard rate
4 – 7 days rentals = 15% off
7 or more days rentals = Ask for special prices and discounts
Group of 4 motorcyles or more= Ask for special prices and discounts.
All discounts are non-transferable and can´t be combined with other promotions or discounts.
Sorry but you can’t rent a motorcycle with American Rider.
Additional riders are permitted with an extra cost. Additional drivers must be 25 years old minimum with a valid motorcycle license.
You can pay before the pick-up date (via Paypal, Bank Transfer or Credit Card); otherwise, a full payment is required at the time of checkout.
General Questions
American Rider’s business hours are 9 am to 5 pm. We understand that circumstances may arise beyond your control. We will make every effort to accommodate you while outside our hours of operation.
Yes, we are open to walk-ins during our respective business hours.
American Rider does not offer sidecars at this time.
If you want, we can deliver you the bike to your hotel or location; the cost varies by location. American Rider will pick you up for free if you are in the Airport, Hotel or other location within 20 km of the our location.
Yes, we have store renter’s luggage, free of charge. American Rider does not assume liability for the luggage or contents, but will secure it during your rental period.
We accept PAYPAL, VISA*, MASTER CARD*, AMEX*, DISCOVER*, Bank Debit cards and international bank credit cards. If so desired, we will accept wire transfers for payment.
Only children over 12 years old can go as a passenger on a motorcycle (If a passenger is under 18, a parent must sign a liability waiver)
They must also do it in the back seat, sitting astride and with their feet resting on the foot boards provided for the passenger; and, of course, wearing a homologated helmet and fastening it.

Yes, we provide transportation service to or from the airport, hotel, train or bus station or any other location in the Malaga or Costa del Sol area. Depending the type of rental, this service can be free or can have an extra charge (contact ask to check).
A security deposit between 500 € to 2.000€ will be required when you are picking up your motorcycle. The security deposit will be deducted against the available balance on your credit card or you can pay it in cash. Once your motorcycle is returned on time and free of damage, the security deposit will be released.
For rental reservations booked more than 30 days before pick-up date, a minimum deposit of 25% is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 30 days before the pick-up date.
Park your motorcycle safely on the shoulder of the road if you are not able to stop in a more secure area. Then step back away from traffic as much as possible as you wait for assistance. We provide to all our customers a 24-Hour Road assistance telephone number where you can call for assistance.
